Streamline Cabs
These trucks were produced starting in the mid-forty’s, up into the early 1950’s with many different trailer
styles and colors. It would difficult to list all of the variations, which were mostly color, but many of them
are pictured here and described.
Apex Motor Lines
Red momentum cab. Trailer is yellow litho with blue slats and “Apex Motor Lines” emblem in yellow over a red flag. The
bottom of the trailer is red. Trailer has red drop-down tailgate. Truck and trailer have black wooden wheels. Truck came in
a generic box with Deluxe Trailer Truck on the side and "Open Stake Trailer Truck" on the end flaps.
Apex Motor Lines
Same truck as above. This version has yellow momentum cab with a red frame and the trailer bottom is yellow.
Trailer had same lithography as previous entry and same box.
Mechanical Auto Transport
Red windup cab. Red Frame. Truck has 2 yellow ramps, one that moves up to unload the top car. It came with two hard
plastic yellow taxis with black or brown wheels. Truck has black wooden wheels. Box pictures the truck and taxis in red and
states, Mechanical Auto Transport with Cars.
Mechanical Auto Transport
Same truck as previous entry. This version has a blue windup cab and red frame. Truck has 2 yellow ramps as well. Truck
came with two yellow plastic cabs Truck has black wooden wheels. Same box as previous entry.
Deluxe Transit Service
Rare Truck. Red momentum cab. Trailer is vividly lithographed. Top of the trailer is yellow with a red boarder and “Deluxe” in
red and “Transit Service” in black with the Marx emblem in the upper right corner. Bottom of trailer is blue. Truck has black
wooden wheels. Truck came in a generic box with Deluxe Trailer Truck on the side and "Open Van Trailer Truck" on the end
flap.
Deluxe Transit Service
Same truck as above. Red momentum cab with a red frame and vividly lithoed trailer. On this version, the bottom of the
trailer is silver. Same generic box.
Mechanical Gasoline Truck
This is the only truck produced where the cab has a small toolbox behind it. Cab is a red windup version with a yellow frame.
Trailer is all red with a large “Gasoline” decal on both side of the trailer. There is a “JOY Gasoline” on the back of the trailer. Box
is very colorful. It pictures the truck with a blue cab and a red trailer and says “Mechanical” over the truck and “Gasoline Trailer
Truck” in a yellow circle in front of the cab.
Mechanical Gasoline Truck
Same truck as above. On this version, the cab is red and the trailer is all blue with the same decals. Same box as the previous entry.
Mechanical Gasoline Truck
Same truck as above. On this version, the windup cab is blue and the frame and toolbox are red. Trailer is red with the same yellow
with red lettering decal. Same box as above trucks.
Mechanical Gasoline Truck
Same truck as above. On this version, the windup cab is blue again and the frame and toolbox are red. Trailer is blue with the same
yellow with red lettering decal. Same box as above trucks.
Mechanical Gasoline Truck
Same truck as above. On this version, the windup cab is yellow and the frame and toolbox are red. Trailer is red with the same
yellow with red lettering decal. Same box as above truck.
Mechanical Gasoline Truck
Opposite color variation of above truck. On this version, the windup cab is the standard yellow with the frame being blue, and
toolbox are red. Trailer is yellow with the same yellow with red lettering decal. Same box as above truck.
Mechanical Gasoline Truck
Uncommon color variation of above truck. On this version, the windup cab is the standard red with the frame being blue, and
toolbox red. Trailer is silver like the LUMAR lines aluminum trailer with the same yellow with red lettering decal. Same box probably
as above truck.
Mechanical Log Trailer Truck
Blue windup cab with a red frame. Trailer is yellow and holds three small logs with a chain across them to hold them on the trailer.
Truck and trailer have black wooden wheels. Box is yellow and has the truck pictured in two colors of red, It says: “Mechanical Log
Trailer Truck" in red over the truck.
Mechanical Log Trailer Truck
Same truck as above. Red windup cab with a blue frame. Trailer is all red and has the 3 logs and chain on it. Same box as above truck.
Mechanical Hook and Ladder
Red windup cab with a red frame. Trailer is red with red ladder holders. Trailer has a decal on both sides with gauges, helmet, and axe
pictured. Truck and trailer have black wooden wheels. Box is yellow with the truck pictured in red and states: “Steel Constructed

Same truck as above. This version has a red cab with a blue frame and red trailer with green ladders.
Mechanical Trailer Truck (Lumar Lines)
Red windup cab with a yellow frame. Upper part of the trailer is aluminum and has “Lumar Lines” decal on both sides in the
middle of the trailer. The lower part of the trailer is yellow with a small stand with a red rubber handle that holds the trailer up
when it is unhooked from the cab. Truck and Trailer have black wooden wheels. Colorful box has the cab pictured in blue and
the trailer in red. Box states: Steel Constructed “Mechanical Trailer Truck” in red with black outlining.
Mechanical Trailer Truck (Lumar Lines)
Same truck as above. Windup cab is red with a silver frame. Upper part of the trailer is aluminum and the bottom is silver. The
version to the right has a yellow cab with a red frame and the same combination trailer. The third version (below) has a red windup
cab with a blue frame. The trailer has a red bottom and the aluminun top with the square yellow with red lettering, LUMAR LINES
decal.
Lumar Lines
Red momentum cab with red frame. Upper part of the trailer is aluminum and has “Lumar Lines” decal on both sides in the middle of
the trailer. The lower part of the trailer is silver and does not have the stand like the windup version. Truck came in a generic box with
Deluxe Trailer Truck on the side and Open Van Trailer Truck on the end flaps.
Lumar Lines
Same truck as above. This version has a light gray momentum cab with a blue frame. Trailer has aluminum upper part and the lower
part is silver. Truck came in the generic “Deluxe Trailer Truck ” box.
Lumar Van Lines
Yellow momentum cab with a blue frame. Trailer is colorfully lithoed. The sides are yellow and red. The front sides of the trailer has a
blue circle with a red “M” surrounded by white, followed by red and white semi-stripes. The bottom part of the trailer is pressed steel
and is yellow. The top of the trailer is blue with thin black stripes. There is small red drop down tailgate. Truck and trailer have dark
wooden wheels. This trailer also came with a later, colored plastic cab with wooden wheels.
Lumar Van Lines
Same truck as above. Red momentum cab with a red frame. Trailer is colorfully lithoed trailer. The bottom part of the trailer is blue and
is pressed steel with a yellow tailgate. .
North American Van Lines
Red windup cab. Trailer is has a litho upper part and a red pressed steel bottom. The side of the trailer are light yellow with North
American in red and a globe in the middle of them and “Van Lines Inc” in red below it. There is stripe the goes around the base of the litho
part that is black and has “serving the nation” in light yellow. On the front of the trailer, there is the North American Van Lines logo.
Some of these trucks had a sticker on the painted pressed steel part that advertised a local independent moving company. Trailer has a red
drop down tailgate. The box has the truck pictured in red and stated: “Deluxe Trailer Truck” on the right side and has the Marx logo below
it and steel constructed below the emblem.



United Van Lines. Very hard to find truck. Same style truck as the above NA truck. The cab and lower trailer are red with the cab
being a windup, and the truck has a small United van lines decal on the door. The upper part of the trailer is light tan with "United Van
Lines" in black and a black stripe around the base of the trailer with "moving with care-everywhere" in biege. The front of the trailer has
United on it and the Marx symbol on the edges. The box in brown cardboard with "Mechanical United Van Lines Trailer truck" in red..
United Van Lines. NON-windup version of above truck. Same style truck as the above NA truck. The cab and lower trailer are
red with the cab being a momentum one. The box is an unusural one. It is brown cardboard with "Deluxe Van Trailer Truck" in blue..
Fruit Growers Truck. 14" Uncommon and colorful truck. Cab is a red momentum. with a red frame. I have also seen a red windup
cab but not positive as to its authenticity. Trailer is colorful with "Sunshine Fruit Growers" with a pineapple behind it and a phone number to
the bottom left of it. The "Sunshine" is between "Trucking" and "Service" . the roof of the trailer is blue with thin white stripes. Truck came
in the generic box with closed van trailer truck on the ends
Fruit Growers Truck. 14" Same truck as above. Cab is a red momentum. with a red frame. Same colorful trailer with a blue lower
trailer and the same litho as previous entry.The roof of the trailer is blue with thin white stripes. Truck came in the generic box with Closed
Van Trailer Truck on the ends.
Mayflower Moving 14" Do not have much information on this truck. Red windup cab with a yellow frame. Bottom of trailer is
red while the upper part is yellow litho with "Aero Maylower Transit Company" in red. The mayflower ship is in green to the right.
Trailer has a yellow tailgate. Truck and trailer have dark wooden wheels. Just a colorful truck.





United Van Lines. Another very hard to find truck variation. Same style truck as the above NA truck. The cab and lower trailer are
red with the cab being a momentum. The truck has the small United Van Lines decal on the door. The upper part of the trailer is light tan with
"United Van Lines" in black and a Silver stripe around the base of the trailer with "moving with care-everywhere" in red. The front of the
trailer has United on it and the Marx symbol on the edges. This is an odd box. On the bottom of the front, it reads. Charlmar Company.
Harrison New Jersey. The box in brown and red cardboard with "Long-Distance Moving" in beige. Its the only box I know with this address.
