Darin's Vintage Trucks
Welcome to my page of
vintage  toys  and  trucks.
Pictured here are  some  of
the trucks that are in my
collection.  I also collect
20's - 40's windup toys as
well  as many styles of
wind-up racers.  I am
interested in nice Marx,
Wyandotte, and  Banner,
pressed metal and
lithographed trucks.

Please check back
frequently.

If you can help any on
research, please contact me.
These Marx trucks were produced in the mid-40's. All of them, with the exception of the two moving  vans, came  in color variations, with the cab frequently
being red  but would  come in blue or  yellow, or  gray occasionally  for a few of  them. Most  of  them  are  windup  trucks  with the  exception of  the Auto
Transport  and  the  other two  in the  3rd  row being  push trucks. Almost all of these trucks can be found with the Log truck, United Van Lines, and the
Sunshine Fruit Growers being  tougher  and the  Apex and  Deluxe Transit  being very  rare to find.  Most of  the  boxes for these trucks are Rare...
#444 Mechanical Sand and Gravel Trucks
Wonder what the box is for this one? ANY other
info would be great on this mystery truck.
#445 Mech Dump Truck
I am looking for the Fire Truck AND Tow Truck in this series. I recently found the Square Box, Sand Truck>
Here are several versions of the many 1950's Marx advertising trucks. The
Cunninghams truck (L) is one of two I have seen. The Newberrys
department truck (C) is a difficult one to locate.
Some of the many examples of 50's Marx Delivery Trucks
Three versions of the 50's Marx small Dodge
truck. The Cattle truck is probably the first
toy I bought. There is a "Ohio Tire &
Supply" truck that I have yet to find. (
There
are other versions of the Dodge-style cab
below
). The Glendale Wrecker above is
difficult to find, especially with the box.
3 RARE, mid-50's Marx private label tanker delivery trucks. The White Bowman's Milk truck was distributed around 1955 in the Chicago area. This
particular truck came from the original owner: A Bowman's Milk delivery truck drivers' son.The box has to be one of just a few in existance..The B/A Fuel
truck  is a Canadian  truck and  surfaces  alittle  more  than the  Bowman's one.
Two versions of the Marcrest Cattle  Hauler. On the left is the 1952  Marx Marcrest cattle truck.
Both came complete with barn animals and   the 1952 version came with fencing.
Extremely Rare Marx KY Derby Hauler Trailer. Truck is a small
dodge cab and very colorful. Truck also came with riders and
Accessories.
Super Rare Tri-City Freight.Truck is a small style Chevy cab
with hard plastic wheels and removable trailer sides. Box is
very colorful and nice as the truck.
Two versions of the Marx East-West Coast truck. The one on the right is a earlier
version and is all tin, while the  one on  the left  has a hard  plastic cab and wheels.
Several mid-40's Marx service delivery  trucks. The three stake  trucks came with  accessories in the beds: The Carpenter Truck(L) came with a insert  that
included a  ruler,  wood  hammer, pencil, and a saw!  The Motor  Market Delivery  (Grocery) Truck came with random small boxes of trial size products.
The Ice Truck had a insert with two blocks of ice and a pair of metal tongs. The Sanitation Truck came in the white version as well as a very hard to find,
dark green version. The box for the green version is not known??
Two hard to  find
Marx scissor-lift
dump trucks. Red
& Yellow
Sand-Gravel.
Black & White
Coal Truck. Both
are very colorful
trucks as well as
the box.
Two 50's Chevy style  Marx trucks. The fire truck is a very seldom seen one. When the trailer rolls, a bell is rung
by  the  rear wheels. This A.C.E truck is  a variation of  the  A.C.E.  truck  above  and  is a earlier version than the
Lumar cab version. It came  with  boxes  of  merchandise in the trailer.
Two very hard to find Marx Chevy Trucks. #852 Gold-Star Moving Van, produced  in 1955. It came  with
packages of  products. It  came  in  this
RARE lithoed  box  as  well  as  in a  heavy cardboard  box. The Northland
Logging  Truck is very rare, especially complete  as  shown with the  chains, logs, and  the little derby flag  on  the
back. It came in a  top-open  heavy cardboard  box.
2 Marx early to mid-50's  Chevy-style scoop dump trucks.The #694(L) has
rubber tires, The  #695(R) has  tin  wheels  and a great box. Very colorful truck.
Two colorful mid-50's Chevy cab litho friction trucks;  (L)Tri-City
Express Service truck. (R) LUMAR dump truck.  Both Trucks have
friction motors on the rear wheels that move the trucks along.
MARX MILITARY PROTECTION
3 Marx mid 50s' Chevy cab trucks. The Army transport w/ cannon(L) also came with a few wooden bullets. The Army transport(C) seems to be a basic
truck, but is very difficult one to locate. This may be the 2nd, boxed one I have seen? The Marine Corps truck(R) is the same as the others, with different
litho. It, as well came with a few Marine figures. It came from a case of unsold ones from a Marx dispersal sale in the late 70's
Large Lumar Transport Auto Transport. Truck and trailer are
28" long The trailer has 4 friction-drive 58  Lincolns: 3 cars
and  a station wagon. This is the  first  compete set  I have
seen.  Not very old, but a rare set.  *There is another of the
truck that has "3" cars and 2-3 plastic workmen.
Very hard to find mid-50's Lumar Wrecker w/
Linmar friction car. 21" Rare to find with the
car.The box is uncommon and very colorful.
Nice late 50's Marx Lumar Deluxe Delivery
truck. Truck came with alot of packages in
the back and a small plastic hand cart.
Neat truck and box..
--> Late 50's? Lumar 5th Division U.S. Army  truck. This
has to be a late production truck. It is the only Truck I
have seen where the box says, FOB GLENDALE W VA.
You know MARX always had 5th Ave NY NY on ALL
the boxes for its toys.. This truck came from a case of
unsold ones from the Marx auction in 1977...
Super nice Large Lumar Utility Truck. Truck has pull-behind
cable trailer and utility pole. It also came with numerous
accessories like road block, ladder and service men.
